Concurrent Real-Time, Inc. currently has an opening for a Full-Time Software Engineer (Night Star), located in our Pompano Beach, Florida office.
Must be a US citizen as we are unable to hire someone on a visa, permanent resident, or Green card.
This is not a remote position. Applicants must be able to work in our Pompano Beach, FL office.

Night Star is our advanced real-time debugging, tracing, visualization, and performance analysis toolsuite used across aerospace, defense, automotive simulation, robotics, and other mission-critical environments. We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of our real-time tools.
What You’ll Do- Develop and enhance Night Star’s real-time debugging, tracing, and monitoring tools
- Implement kernel-level and userspace instrumentation to improve real-time observability
- Optimize low overhead data capture and analysis for high-performance environments
- Troubleshoot timing, latency, scheduling, and concurrency issues
- Collaborate with OS engineers, hardware teams, QA, and customer-facing groups
- Participate in architecture, design, coding, testing, and release engineering
- Contribute to documentation, test development, and continuous product improvement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science
, Computer Engineering
, Electrical Engineering
, or related field - Strong proficiency in C/C++
- Experience with Linux systems; RTOS or kernel experience is a strong plus
- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and system-level performance
- Familiarity with debugging/tracing tools, profiling, or instrumentation frameworks
- Scripting experience with Python
, Bash
, or similar - Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with kernel modules or device drivers
- Background in real-time Linux or embedded systems
- Experience with performance visualization or analytics tools
You’ll collaborate across OS engineering, hardware design, QA, application engineering, and product management—supporting the tools used to analyze some of the world’s most demanding real-time systems.
