Position Summary
Our team is looking for someone who is passionate about computer engineering and is self‑directed, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented to help us develop world‑class Linux RTOS software and real‑time tools at both the kernel and application levels for both Intel/AMD and ARM
64 architectures.
The real‑time software engineer is responsible for executing or independently achieving project objectives by performing a variety of complex engineering and process tasks that require in-depth and diversified technical knowledge. Duties may include product design, development, manufacturing, validation, system compatibility and sales/marketing support.
Essential Duties- Develop, enhance, validate, and support Concurrent's Red Hawk real‑time enhanced Linux kernel and tools for both larger server‑class systems using standard Linux distributions and smaller embedded hardware modules using embedded Linux environments.
- Develop, enhance, validate, and support Concurrent's Night Star real‑time tool suite to maintain industry‑leading real‑time performance.
- Work on projects such as performance analysis, benchmarking, release engineering, security hardening, quality assurance, and maintaining the automated nightly test system.
- Assess and determine engineering focus areas to maximize utilization of engineering capabilities.
- Translate future product needs into engineering feasibility and identify cross‑disciplinary product and project issues.
- Consider all system‑level aspects of products in complex conceptual and innovative design projects.
- Employ required equipment, tools, and methods.
- Contribute to improving the technical knowledge base and effectiveness of other engineers.
- Interface with co‑workers and staff from other departments to maintain positive working relationships.
- Provide technical expertise within the department and to customers and user groups.
- Strong foundation in C and C++ with experience from individual projects.
- Familiarity with Bash scripting and Linux environments.
- Classwork or knowledge of operating system fundamentals, application debugging, performance tuning, and performance profiling.

CompensationPay range: $85,000 to $100,000 annually with a 10% yearly bonus. Compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, and work location.
