Del Driver-CDL

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal, and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck.
• Unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Minimum Class B license;
  Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear, three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

• Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading yourself from a flatbed.
• Operate commercial or boom vehicle continually and position yourself to unload materials.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
• Communicate with management and coworkers accurately.
• Work outside in varying conditions while making deliveries.

• Manage stress based on customer deadlines.
• Multitask effectively.
• Receive and act on information and directions.
• Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur.
• Use sound judgement.
