Your RoleDelivery Drivers play a critical role in the success of our business as a key point of contact for our customers when delivering orders. The target is to ensure customer service excellence by presenting themselves and communicating in a professional manner, delivering orders safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role also may support operations in the warehouse when there is no delivery or when returning early from a delivery.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Pull assigned orders in the warehouse and double-check for accuracy
- Safely load orders onto vehicle for delivery and drive route
- Unload product upon arrival at destination
- Return from deliveries and submit paperwork
- Comply with DOT, OSHA, and Grabber Safety Standards
- Monitor vehicle condition and report service needs to the Branch Operations Manager
- Provide support to Warehouse and Sales Team
- Interact with customers and Branch staff during deliveries
- Deliver product on a company vehicle as assigned
- Back‑up and support operations in the warehouse; may operate a forklift after completing training
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs in warehouse for loading
- Supplemental Driver Application with consent to contact prior employers regarding any out‑of‑service violations, misuse of controlled substances or alcohol, and accident history
- Criminal background check and pre‑employment drug test
- Authorization to order a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- DOT medical exam – if new or recertification of DOT medical exam is needed, Grabber will provide certification as part of pre‑employment requirements after offer letter acceptance
- Familiarity with using navigation systems
- Excellent vision and hand‑eye coordination
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English to follow safety instructions, operational procedures, and engage with customers
- Long periods of driving and sitting in delivery vehicle
- Warehouse and outside environments
- Use of warehouse equipment and vehicles
- Lifting capabilities 40 lbs
- Directly with customers
This position assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co‑workers, and for the safety conditions of the work location, exercises and promotes safe behaviors and shows unyielding support of programs, rules, and policies regarding safety.
