Del Driver-CDL

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations, delivering all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
• Provide excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Minimum Class B, Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute, or delegate as needed.
• Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to coworkers and customers.

• Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Frequent movement of materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
• Constantly operate a commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle and position self to unload materials from flatbed or boom.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
• Communicate accurately with management and coworkers in various situations.
• Work in an outdoor environment while making deliveries.

• Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Manage stress depending on customer deadlines.
• Multitask effectively.
• Receive information and directions accurately.
• Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur.
• Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgment.
