CDL Ready Mix Driver

Pay: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour.

Role:
Ready Mix Truck Driver responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete and other related products to customers in rural and urban environments, in all weather conditions.

• Thorough DOT pre and post trip inspections including raising and lowering the hood.
• Read and understand the delivery ticket to ensure correct product and location.
• Lift, carry, and load extra items for delivery (e.g., heavy bags of calcium chloride, fibers, color dye, bundles of expansion joint).
• Deliver to customer sites, unload concrete, and return to yard; operate manual or automatic transmissions; driving time per load varies.
• Walk, climb, and stand on uneven, muddy, or frozen job sites; attach large metal chute extensions to the truck on difficult terrain.
• Communicate effectively with customers and Dispatch; represent the company professionally.
• Keep the truck clean, including washing out the drum after loading/unloading.
• Perform other work as assigned (shoveling, sweeping, cleaning).
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs and to make entries on reports and records.

• Must possess a Florida CDL Class A or Class B with airbrakes endorsement, and maintain a current medical certificate.
