Evening Nurse Supervisor

• Responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the nursing department during his/her shift
• Ensure that all departmental procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
• Make rounds on each unit to monitor staff and resident activities
• Monitor resident care and report changes to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
• Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document in the 24‑hour report
• Follow up on residents as needed
• Participate in counselling, evaluating, and disciplining nursing staff
• Monitor nursing staff to ensure proper documentation on MARs, nurses notes, accident/incident reports, physician's orders and treatment records
• Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents, families and personnel

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Active and current RN or LPN license
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in an acute or long term care setting
• Demonstrate competence in management and leadership skills
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations
