Qualifications:48 Hours College Credit OR Passing Score on Paraprofessional Test
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous Experience Working With Students
Job Goal: Supervises and monitors students and their completion of assignments while assigned to in-school detention.

Terms:
9 Month Contract, 7.25 Hours per Day, Exclusive of a Lunch
FLSA Classification: Nonexempt
Evaluation: Annually by Building Principal

Regular Requirements: Sit for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach at, below and above shoulder level; repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment; lift/move up to 15 pounds
Occasional Requirements: Walk, reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 25 pounds
Visual Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Works under the direction of teachers and administrators to ensure that students have assignments and necessary materials to complete their work.
- Monitors students’ completion of assignments.
- Checks completed assignments against what was requested by the teacher.
- Tracks assignment completion.
- Responsible for the welfare and safety of students.
- Ensures compliance with all school rules, procedures, and policies.
- Performs all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $13.02 Per Hour
