JOB SUMMARY

NewPoint Church is seeking a passionate, team-driven, and
visionary Student Pastor to lead its ministry for students in grades
6–12. This full-time role will develop a vibrant ministry where
students encounter Jesus, grow in spiritual maturity, and learn to
know God, find community, discover their purpose, and make a
difference. The Student Pastor will work closely with staff,
volunteers, parents, and students to align the ministry with the
broader mission and culture of the church. Average Wednesday
Night Attendance: 120 students and 25 adults

  • Actively participate in Sunday worship services, staff
    meetings, small groups, and church-wide initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field preferred.
  • Relevant classes, ministry training, or ministry certification
    will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading student
    ministry or serving in a pastoral ministry role.
  • Proven experience developing and overseeing a volunteer team to
    carry out the ministry
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ministry Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive discipleship strategy for students in grades 6–12.
  • Plan and oversee weekly student gatherings, small groups, events, retreats, camps, mission trips, and outreach experiences.
  • Equip and empower parents to disciple their teens through regular communication, resources, and partnership.
  • Develop a smooth transition process for students moving from KIDS Ministry into student ministry between fifth and sixth grade.
  • Develop and manage the student ministry budget.
Team Development
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-capacity volunteer team to serve in student ministry roles.
  • Provide regular encouragement, feedback, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Cast a clear vision that aligns with the overall mission of NewPoint Church
Student & Family Engagement
  • Build meaningful relationships with students to help them grow spiritually, relationally, and emotionally.
  • Shepherd students through teaching, mentoring, and one-on-one discipleship.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with new or disengaged students and their families.
  • Engage with students at school events, extracurricular activities, and throughout the community.
Teaching & Communication
  • Serve as the primary communicator during student gatherings, delivering biblically sound and culturally relevant messages.
  • Develop and coach a team of communicators to share teaching responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and volunteers through email, social media, text messages, and in-person engagement.
  • Host regular parent gatherings and leadership training sessions to strengthen connection and clarity.
