Commercial​/Industrial Painter and Sandblaster

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Preparing product for initial and final coats of paint while ensuring that finish paint coverage meets paint and surface standards. The employee must demonstrate knowledge of the spray equipment including fluid and air settings, positioning, techniques, and procedures in all coating positions, and the ability to perform rework as necessary.
• Will thoroughly clean all painting equipment and assigned areas, as required to maintain proper working order and clean working environment.
• Will perform ongoing minor troubleshooting and maintenance of spray equipment, guns, air supply and other equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Responsible for loading the product and material handling.
• Employees are responsible for quality inspection of the product.
• Surface Preparation:
  Clean, sand, grind, media blast, and mask materials to remove rust, scale, or debris and ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Coating Application:
  Operate industrial airless, HVLP, or electrostatic sprayers to apply primers, epoxies, and topcoats evenly.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain spray equipment, pumps, nozzles, and ventilation systems.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Manage hazardous chemical waste, utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain safety data logs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. As a member of our team, this person should possess solid interpersonal skills, flexibility, organizational skills, be detail oriented and the desire to succeed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Physical Demands:
  Requires stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in restrictive PPE or confined spaces. Pay will be based on experience.
