Plant Operator I – Secondary (Open)

Ponca City, OK (Fill Plant) – Filling Industrial

The Plant Operator I – Secondary position is responsible for filling cryogenic liquids and pure non‑flammable industrial gases at the Fill Plant according to Airgas Standard Operating Procedures. The role requires safe handling of cylinders, monitoring pressure and weight, performing tests for purity, inspecting cylinders, and supporting team goals.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm.

• Fill cryogenic liquids and non‑flammable industrial gases in accordance with SOPs.
• Set pressure gauge to specified reading and monitor for full cylinder indicators.
• Adjust valves and observe gauge to achieve specified pressure.
• Observe scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight.
• Roll filled cylinders onto scale, connect vent line, and release excess gas to attain prescribed weight.
• Position cylinders onto the platform or in manifold racks, manually or with material‑handling equipment.
• Test gas for purity using testing equipment.
• Inspect or test empty cylinders and examine exterior for defects such as dents, cracks, or burns.
• Evaluate and collaborate on quarantine decisions for further inspection.
• Contribute to additional team goals as required.

• Must be able to become Forklift Certified.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written and computer‑generated documents.
• Valid U.S. employment authorization without current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred: Prior forklift experience.
