Refrigeration Technician 2nd Shift

Salary Range: $21.98 Hourly

• Operate the entire refrigeration system and maintain temperatures to keep the plant at operating temperatures in accordance with Haccp and USDA compliance.
• Complete daily computer tasks required to keep PM and work orders up to date, ensuring accuracy and clarity of work completed documentation, parts, causes, comments, etc.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical control systems, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Be punctual and adhere to all safety policies, general manufacturing policies, and food safety guidelines; complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely fashion, motivated to increase knowledge and gain experience in all aspects of the Maintenance field.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by Management.

• High school diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Two or more years’ experience working in ammonia refrigeration, and/or minimum of four years of industrial HVAC/R experience.
• Universal EPA certification OR ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and pass a fit test.
• Preference given to those with RETA 1 & 2 certification, attended HVAC tech school and/or experience with anhydrous ammonia refrigeration.

Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work in all conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Must be able to stand or be on feet for long periods of time on hard surfaces. Will be required to perform continuous and repetitive motion, including lifting, pushing, and pulling product and/or objects, as well as bending, twisting, and reaching with the torso.

The product or objects may weigh in excess of fifty pounds. Items in excess of 50 pounds require a team lift. May work in either hot areas or refrigerated areas for long periods of time.
