EHS Specialist III - Ponca City, OK
Air Distribution Technologies is seeking an EHS Specialist III to support our ASC manufacturing facility in Ponca City, Oklahoma. This role plays a critical part in fostering a strong safety culture by planning, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at a single-site operation. The EHS Specialist III will partner closely with site leadership and employees to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.
What You’ll Do:- Plan, coordinate, and administer site-specific EHS programs in a manufacturing environment
- Conduct safety training for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Perform routine site audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of EHS policies and procedures
- Coordinate first-aid response activities and ensure readiness of emergency response protocols
- Conduct accident investigations, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures
- Compile, analyze, and report accident statistics for both internal and external reporting requirements
- Facilitate and lead regular safety meetings and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives
- Partner with site leadership to ensure continuous improvement of safety performance metrics
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience, or
- Associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant EHS experience
- Working knowledge of EHS programs, OSHA regulations, and workplace safety practices
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience supporting single-site manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with incident reporting systems and safety metrics tracking
- Certification(s) such as OSHA, First Aid/CPR, or other EHS-related credentials
This position operates within a manufacturing facility environment. The role may require standing for extended periods, walking the production floor, and exposure to varying noise levels, moving machinery, and industrial equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The role may include responding to emergency situations and supporting first-aid activities.
