Bakery Clerk (Part Time – Hourly)

Salary: $9.75–$14.00 per hour |

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
• Actively bake, wrap, package, and sell a variety of goods
• Bake bread, rolls, buns, cake, pies, pastries, and brownies
• Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety procedures
• Transport and stock goods within department
• Ensure Health and Safety Codes; check pricing, expiration, and maintain organizational standards
• Check, record, and retain cooler/freezer temperatures and maintenance
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, assisting within other departments as needed to service customers
• Maintain Health and Safety standards, and hold a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department
• Understand merchandising labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper invoices and order forms
• Comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment

• Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior experience in related field or industry
• Experience with oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials

• Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs. from the floor to shelving or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezer
• Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
• Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations
• Accurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers
• Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions promptly and politely
• Use store phone and intercom systems properly

Inside work with transitions of heat/cold/humidity/dust from backdoor, compressors, cooler, freezer, and preparation area.
