This position is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting business transactions. Preparation of federal and state income tax returns, along with researching and drafting federal or state tax notice responses.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA license preferred.
One to three years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a public accounting tax function with a focus on consolidated corporate tax groups or nonprofit organizations.
Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, and formulas).
Experience in identifying and researching tax issues using RIA, BNA, or other tax research software.
Experience with Thomson Reuters One Source or GoSystem tax compliance software, or similar.
Workday financial system experience or experience with Alteryx a plus.
Familiarity with international corporate tax and tax-exempt organizations a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication, and tax technical research skills required.
Obtaining reports from financial reporting system (Work Day), importing and manipulation of tax data into One Source tax software.
Assist in analysis and calculations of GAAP to tax adjustments.
Preparation of excel worksheets, templates, and CSV files for data import.
Preparation of various federal and state income tax return drafts (corporations, tax-exempt organization, and partnerships).
Research and draft tax notice responses.
Assist with tax compliance and related research both domestic and international.
