The Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of credit and collections within an assigned business line. This role evaluates customer creditworthiness, monitors account performance, and ensures timely payment while balancing risk and business growth. Two levels are available based on experience and scope:
Analyst and Senior Analyst. Analysts may authorize credit lines up to $25,000 (with manager review), while Senior Analysts may authorize credit lines up to $50,000 and may assist in shaping credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and interpret financial information to perform in-depth credit and financial analysis using multiple data sources.
  • Evaluate risk and make recommendations to extend, adjust, or revoke credit lines and modify payment terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external inventory finance partners and internal teams (Sales, A/R, Legal, etc.) to ensure timely payments and proper discounting.
  • Initiate collection calls to delinquent customers to determine payment status and recommend accounts for third-party collections when appropriate.
  • Communicate unresolved issues and recommended resolutions to leadership.
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned. (Senior Analysts may assist in the development and refinement of credit policies.)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial credit and collections (7+ years required for Senior Analyst level).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Solid financial statement analysis, data mining, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of liens and other security instruments preferred.
