Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff.

Training and

Experience:

Building engineering/maintenance experience, 2+ years hotel engineering/maintenance experience.

Job Knowledge: Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection to include; reporting of maintenance discrepancies.

Job Summary::

Repair and maintain all hotel equipment and systems as directed by the needs of the guests and staff

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts as required.

Arrive to work on time, consistently.

Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.

Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.

Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.

Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair most mechanical electrical and plumbing problems.

Interact positively with guest and fellow employees.

Perform duties independently when appropriate.

Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provide including; proper labeling procedures.

Provide preventive maintenance when appropriate.

Ability of access high areas utilizing a ladder.

Follow all company safety rules/guidelines and work in a safe manner.

Report any areas that need repair to include safety concerns.

Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.

Job Requirements

1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience required
Hospitality experience desired
Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds. Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and be able to move about the property.
Valid driver's license required.

Schedule

Varied scheduling to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
