Program Marketing Associate | Carma Insurance | Remote / Hybrid | Territory-Based About the Role

We're looking for a high-energy, relationship-driven Program Marketing Associate to support distribution growth and new business development for our MGA. This role is responsible for building broker relationships, growing territory presence, and helping position our cannabis insurance programs for long-term success.

This is a high-visibility, revenue-contributing role with direct impact on company growth — ideal for someone early in their insurance career who wants to move fast and own outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Distribution & Territory Support
  • Build and expand broker and agency relationships across assigned territories
  • Help recruit, onboard, and activate new retail and wholesale partners
  • Identify growth opportunities in underpenetrated markets
  • Represent Carma at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Sales & New Business Development
  • Drive new business through strategic broker partnerships
  • Present Carma's programs, appetite, and value proposition
  • Collaborate with underwriting to place and close business
  • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and events
Strategic & Marketing Support
  • Support territory growth planning and execution
  • Track pipeline activity and KPIs in CRM
  • Partner on campaigns, co-branded materials, and broker outreach
  • Relay market feedback to underwriting and leadership
Relationship Management
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for brokers and partners
  • Support renewals and cross-sell opportunities
  • Help maintain carrier and program partner relationships
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field
  • Exposure to commercial lines, specialty programs, or wholesale/MGA a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in an independent, fast-moving environment
  • CRM experience preferred; willingness to learn required
  • Cannabis industry knowledge not required — curiosity about it is
What Success Looks Like
  • Growing broker relationships and new business flow in assigned territory
  • Becoming a trusted face of Carma with distribution partners
