The Best Players Need the Best People. This hands‑on position is responsible for the operation, general maintenance, repair, and replacement of complex HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial properties, including a corporate campus. The role also includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed to ensure optimal building performance of critical infrastructure and efficient system performance while maintaining occupant comfort. Work hours include weekend rotations.
Qualifications- 5+ years commercial HVAC experience and general building maintenance repair.
- Prior experience with residential systems a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent HVAC Technical Training Certificate preferred.
- EPA Certificate required.
- OSHA 10/40 Certification preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and customer‑focused skills.
- Understanding of advanced principles of chilled water systems, refrigeration systems, and domestic water systems.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, painting, electrical, and/or other general repair skills.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before independent work.
- Familiarity with BAS, CMMS or digital work order systems (e.g., Service Now, iOFFICE, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
- Customer service mindset with a professional, team‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Perform routine inspections, installation, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC/R systems; air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units, including chillers, air handlers, VAV systems, and mini‑splits.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for all HVAC system types in a timely manner and implement effective solutions.
- Replace and install HVAC components and systems as required.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform preventive services for all HVAC as scheduled.
- Assist with general building maintenance tasks including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work.
- Respond to service requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance.
- Perform emergency HVAC repairs promptly and efficiently.
- May assist with repair of lighting circuits (interior, ceiling, and cubicle lights, change ballasts) as needed.
- May assist with the company’s preventative maintenance program across various trades.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
- May be part of an on‑call group and, when assigned, must be available and able to respond according to policy.
