Building Engineer III

Marriott is seeking a part-time weekend Building Engineer III to support efficient, reliable hotel operations. This hands-on role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems to ensure guest comfort and safety. The engineer responds to service requests, conducts inspections, and maintains detailed work logs while following Marriott's safety, brand, and regulatory standards. Working closely with hotel operations teams, this position supports a clean, well-functioning property and provides prompt, courteous service aligned with Marriott's people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and resolve issues safely and efficiently
• Conduct inspections of mechanical rooms, public areas, and guest spaces to identify repair needs
• Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and carpentry issues to minimize downtime
• Monitor building automation systems and report irregularities to leadership
• Maintain accurate logs of work orders, inspections, and completed repairs
• Support vendor visits, ensuring compliance with Marriott safety and brand standards
• Follow all safety, fire, and OSHA guidelines while using tools and equipment
• Collaborate with operations and housekeeping teams to support a seamless guest experience
• Assist with weekend facility projects, system tests, and emergency response as needed
