Pontefract RUFC is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and commercially minded Clubhouse Bar Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of their busy clubhouse, bar and function facilities.

This is a hands-on role within a well-established community rugby club, covering bar and hospitality operations, functions and events, stock and suppliers, and the coordination of casual staff. The General Committee has ambitious plans for the continued development of the clubhouse, bar and hospitality offering, and the Clubhouse Bar Manager will play a key role in implementing these plans and taking them forward, while bringing their own ideas and experience to help shape the future of the Club’s facilities.

We’re looking for someone who can take responsibility, make things happen and bring ideas to help develop the clubhouse and increase its use and revenue. Previous experience in a bar, hospitality, sports/social club or events environment would be ideal.

You will:

* Manage the day-to-day clubhouse and bar operation

* Coordinate casual bar, kitchen and event staff

* Manage functions, bookings and events

* Oversee stock, suppliers and cash handling

* Ensure high standards of hospitality, safety and compliance

* Identify opportunities to increase bookings, events and revenue

* Bring fresh ideas to develop the Club’s hospitality offering

What’s in it for you?

 * £14.50–£17 per hour + discretionary bonus

* Flexible, seasonal working pattern

* Genuine autonomy to organise the role around the Club’s needs

* The opportunity to shape and develop the clubhouse operation

* A key role within a busy and ambitious community rugby club

Regular evening and weekend work will be required, particularly during the rugby season, generally September to April. This role requires 25-30 hours per week
