Lead Manufacturing Engineer: 2 ( 10+Years of Experience)

Role OverviewSenior Manufacturing Engineers with expertise in machining and machine building are responsible for designing, building, installing, and optimizing advanced production equipment and processes. They serve as a critical link between design engineering and shop floor execution, ensuring complex designs are translated into high-precision, repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment & Process Development:
Design, assemble, and install manufacturing equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures aligned to production requirements. - Operational Excellence & Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality issues, and machine failures using data-driven approaches such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA). - Process Documentation:
Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process sheets to standardize operations and ensure consistency. - Supplier & Vendor
Collaboration:
Engage with external machine builders and suppliers for equipment procurement, commissioning, and buy-off validation. - CNC Programming & Optimization:
Develop, debug, and optimize CNC programs (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) across milling, turning, and grinding operations to enhance efficiency, cycle time, and precision. - Design for Manufacturability (DFM):
Review engineering drawings and provide feedback or redesign components to improve manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Machine building, installation, and commissioning
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Machining process optimization and cycle time reduction
- Advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
- Technical documentation and requirements capture
- Vendor management and procurement coordination
- Machining:
Deep hands-on experience with CNC machining, cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and metallurgy - Quality & Precision:
Strong knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement tools (CMM, micrometers) - Lean Manufacturing:
Application of 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience in machining, manufacturing engineering, or machine building environments
- Technical Documentation:
High proficiency in creating structured engineering and process documentation - Digital Tools:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Power BI, and Share Point - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers
