Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full‑time Manufacturing Process Improvement & Validation Engineer to join our team in Pontiac, IL.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement & Validation Engineer to support manufacturing process improvement and validation, fully on‑site in Pontiac, IL. In this role, you will provide daily support to quality and operations teams, splitting your time between office‑based work (PCN documentation, testing reports, prototype design, and manufacturing process analysis) and hands‑on shop floor and lab work (manufacturing process troubleshooting and prototype validation).
KeyContributions & Responsibilities
- Support daily operations related to manufacturing process improvement and validation.
- Work with the quality and production engineering teams to validate new manufacturing processes, PCNs (Process Change Notices), and related documentation.
- Prepare testing reports, prototype designs, and manufacturing process analyses (approximately 30% of role, office‑based).
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and conduct prototype validation directly on the shop floor and in the lab (approximately 70% of role).
- You will work closely with quality and production engineering teams to support daily manufacturing operations and process validation activities.
- Work environment is a mix of office and shop floor, with the majority of time (approximately 70%) spent on the shop floor and in the lab. This is a fully on‑site role in Pontiac, IL.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- Creativity combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations; ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer‑generated reports.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Strong team player with a detail‑oriented approach to all aspects of the work.
