WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a VITAS Representative, you’ll be at the front line of change—educating physicians, healthcare leaders, and professionals about the value of hospice care. You’ll:

• Build trusted relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and professionals
• Guide referral sources through understanding prognostication, the value proposition of hospice, and how to have effective conversations for families facing serious illness
• Champion the benefits of the Medicare hospice benefit
• Work alongside clinical partners to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time
• Grow, learn, and serve in a role designed for development

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

You’ll be based out of a local VITAS office and engage across your territory, visiting physician offices, hospitals, and care facilities to build meaningful connections.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience or healthcare services experience preferred
• Experience in competitive, team-based environments with individual accountability
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and create solutions
• Past military service a plus
• Volunteer organization experience a plus
• Hospice experience preferred but not required
• Evidence of achieving sales goals or a track record of exceeding corporate goals
• Strong customer service, sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge and application of need-satisfaction selling processes
• Ability to manage a territory, conduct sales calls, and build long-term business partnerships
• Strong interpersonal skills across all levels of an organization

EDUCATION

• Other acceptable licenses include RN, LPN/LVN, or Social Work (SW)
