Advanced Lube Technician

Driscoll Motor Co., Inc. is a locally owned and operated business in the Pontiac, Illinois area.

An advanced lube technician job involves performing preventative maintenance and light repairs on vehicles, with a focus on lubrication services, but also including more complex tasks
1. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand tools, and the ability to provide excellent customer service
2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance: Performing oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and top-offs, and other routine maintenance tasks
  3.
• Light Repairs: Tasks like brake adjustments or replacements, spark plug changes, and tire rotations and replacements
  4.
• Vehicle Inspection: Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary services
  5.
• Using Diagnostic Equipment: Utilizing diagnostic tools to assess vehicle performance and identify potential problems
  6.
• Maintaining Equipment and Shop: Ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and the work area is kept clean and organized
  7.
• Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  8.
• Record Keeping: Accurately recording all service and repair work completed
  9.

Compensation:

Hourly and based on experience with advanced lube work, paid weekly. Estimated annual income ranges from $35,000 to $45,000.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Successful completion of pre-employment screening

Authorization to work in the USA
