Job Description Connoisseur Media is looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and motivated intern to join our Programming team in Saginaw, Michigan!
This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience inside a working  radio station while learning the ins and outs of radio broadcasting, agricultural reporting, news production, and day-to-day station operations. As part of the team at 105.5 FM/790 AM WSGW, you’ll work alongside experienced broadcast professionals, gain valuable real-world skills, and see what it takes to bring local programming and agricultural news to the community.

This is a paid, part-time internship scheduled Monday through Friday, approximately 6–7 hours per week in the morning, making it a great opportunity for a student or aspiring media professional looking to build experience while continuing their education.
What You Will Learn:

• Operate the on-air console and audio controls.

• Monitor station transmitters.

• Run shows, play music, and commercials.

• Produce and edit audio programming segments.

• Log discrepancies.

• Maintain studio equipment and logs.

• Write and post information to station websites and social media platforms.

• Understand procedures in case of a computer crash or loss of broadcast signal.

• Communication procedures in the event of any concerns, issues, or problems with the broadcast.

Responsibilities of this position may include:

• Assisting in the production of news content for on-air and online distribution.

• Monitoring breaking news and updating coverage as needed.

• Recording hourly newscasts.

• Engage with listeners via social media and at events.

• Other duties as assigned by the Agricultural Manager on WSGW.
Requirements of this position include the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be a team player and work well with management and staff at all levels.

• Public speaking skills and the ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.

• Ability to multitask and handle pressures and deadlines.

• Be a positive member of a tight-knit team.

• Must be creative and innovative with a strong work ethic.
