Instructional Support For Student Growth

The qualified candidate will support student growth through the use of research based, highly effective instructional practices which promote interactive learning and student engagement. They will meet the needs of each student by building trusted and caring relationships, understanding and implementing best practices, creating and utilizing systems of intervention and support, differentiated instruction, and a variety of instructional strategies. The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student achievement.

Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans based on curriculum standards. Create a classroom culture that cultivates a sense of community and belonging. Utilize engaging instructional strategies. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner. Develop and implement a positive classroom management system. Use data in multiple ways to inform instruction. Utilize progress monitoring. Knowledge of MTSS. Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments.

Collaborate with instructional colleagues to assist in the teaching and learning process. Communicate with parents. Maintain accurate and complete student records. Establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with all staff, students, and parents. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited university/college and a Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Lower Elementary Endorsement (PK-3) of ZO and/or ZG.

This position reports to the Building Principal.
