Systems Engineer, Software Engineer
As a System Engineer at UWM, focusing on authentication and secrets management, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our authentication infrastructure as well as approaching projects with automation principles at the forefront, to meet client/business needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our business processes run smoothly and our internal customers remain satisfied.
What You Will Be Doing- Working in authentication and secrets platforms such as AD, ADFS, Vault, Curity, and more
- Help define policies, procedures, and standards for implementing and maintaining authentication and secrets platforms
- Automate advanced and routine tasks
- Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with IT policies and procedures
- Work with internal clients to enhance their experience with our platforms
- Make continuous improvements to our platform patching and upgrade capabilities and cadences.
- Provide regular status reports to stakeholders on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals
- Provide technical support and guidance to users
- Document system configurations and changes
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support
- 3 – 5 years of Systems Administration or equivalent experience
- Operating Systems:
Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux Distributions - The role favors on‑premises server administration experience but Cloud (Azure and GCP) is a plus
- 1–2 years of some form of identity and SSO work
- Tools:
Active Directory, ADFS (or similar products), Vault - 100% onsite attendance in Pontiac, Michigan
- Scripting/Programming skills
- Version and code control with Git
- JIRA and Service Now experience
