Who We Want:
Function as a technical liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning, and provide technical support.
What You'll Do:
Review/ assess supplier Manufacturing processes and Quality Systems in support of Purchasing sourcing goals
Work with Suppliers to monitor compliance to Program APQP events and milestones for new Programs Review and provide feedback to Suppliers’ PFMEA and Control Plan in preparation for Program Launch and when revisions are required to support Corrective Actions.
Participate in Contract and Design Reviews in support of Challenge Manufacturing Purchased Part requirements (GD&T, Qualification Requirements, Capability, etc.)Improve quality, price and/ or delivery performance of suppliers by conducting workshops at supplier locations, providing technical assistance in the development of a quality system, or other technical support as required
Review tool, fixture and part design, or otherwise support the Program team in these reviews. Ensure Tooling conformance to Challenge Manufacturing requirements
Support Manufacturing in resolving Supplier issues when Chronic or Complex problems occur
Ensure Supplier PPAP submission is on time and complies with submission requirements
Ensure all supplier records of compliance are retained in the appropriate place
Ensure all aspects of Supplier compliance to contractual requirements
Be actively involved in monitoring and, where necessary, improvement of Supplier Performance Metrics When and Where:
This will be a 8am - 5pm M-F position located at our Plant in Pontiac, MI.Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.
What You Need to Have:
Associate degree from a 2- or 4-year college5 Years in related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university
10 to 15 years related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
