The Default Specialist - Bankruptcy will be a key member of the UWM Servicing Oversight team focused on testing and analyzing default and non-performing loans. As a Master Servicer, UWM ensures its sub-servicers adhere to guidelines by performing monthly tests for validation and remediation as necessary. The Specialist will work with UWM servicing leaders and sub-servicers to ensure compliance with Federal, State, CFPB, and related guidelines.
Responsibilities- Perform oversight tests on non-performing loans
- Analyze test results by identifying potential risk to the borrower and business
- Identify and report test findings for remediation
- Help Internal Departments identify the root causes of errors
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal parties to resolve test findings
- Update job aids and tests for the Oversight team as needed
- 2 years of Default Servicing experience or equivalent knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Federal and Agency Servicing guidelines and procedures for FHLMC, FNMA, and GNMA
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert in MS Excel
- Experience with MSP (Black Knight)
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiar with IAssit, FHA Connection, Valeri, and Docutech
- Knowledge of servicing transfers with loans in default and loss mitigation
