Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Medical Billing Contractor, located on-site at HOPE Shelters in Pontiac, MI. Responsibilities include managing medical billing activities, processing insurance claims and denials, ensuring compliance with billing regulations, and accurately utilizing ICD-10 codes. The contractor will also handle communications with insurance providers, including Medicare, and provide support in resolving billing discrepancies as needed.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and experience with ICD-10 coding.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, including claims, billing, and resolving denials.
- Experience working with Medicare billing and compliance procedures.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage billing discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle billing processes efficiently.
- Experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
