Position Overview
The Construction Technology Specialist supports the seamless use of digital tools across the organization by leading software onboarding, training, and workflow coordination for both office and field teams. This role maintains and optimizes core platforms, ensures consistent document control standards, and drives the adoption of emerging construction technologies. Acting as a cross‑functional liaison, the specialist promotes efficient digital workflows, supports process, assists with administrative functions, and advances continuous improvement efforts that align with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Workflow Coordination
- Provide onboarding for new hires and interns on software tools. Train staff on software and enforce standards.
- Oversee licenses and updates.
- Maintain Procore and bidding software and/or any other project software as assigned (updates, user access, permissions, etc.).
- Troubleshoot/Train employees on any software updates and rollouts.
- Provide onboarding and training for new hires/active employees/interns on software tools.
- Deliver dashboards on document throughput, compliance, and schedule.
- Lead in the rollout of technology‑based documentation of project sites such as drones, 360 Capture or similar site scanning tools, etc.
- Strategic Development & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with construction tech trends and pilot new tools.
- Recommend adoption strategies and ROI, with IT guidance to leadership.
- Align digital/document‑control strategy with company goals.
- Promote data use for decisions and risk mitigation.
- Capture lessons learned and improve protocols as requested/needed.
- Support technology committee activities with software evaluations and any rollout of same.
- Cross‑Functional Liaison
- Bridge communication between field, PMs, IT, and subcontractors.
- Support onboarding and troubleshooting for digital tools.
- Ensure smooth adoption and compliance with workflows.
- Document Control & Compliance
- Maintain master document system.
- Manage project folder structures and archival.
- Upload, organize, and maintain project documents in Procore and other company tech platforms.
- Set up new project folders, naming conventions, and permissions.
- Manage bidding documents and maintain contract storage.
- Keep safety documentation current and support project close‑out archiving.
- Promote standardized workflows and document‑control practices across the company.

Qualifications & Skills Desired
Education/
Certifications:
- Associate Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- High priority will be given to candidates who have either a CDT or CCDCS (not required)
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience with construction technology platforms, including Procore, bidding software, or similar tools.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to maintain structured digital filing systems and consistent naming conventions.
- Ability and desire to train and onboard employees on construction‑related digital tools.
- Experience supporting document control activities such as uploading, organizing, archiving, and managing project records in tech platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with field staff, PMs, IT, and subcontractors to resolve workflow or tech challenges.
- Verifiable history of learning new software and supporting company‑wide technology rollouts and administrative work behind the activity.
- Experience with field technology tools such as drones, 360 capture, or site‑scanning tools (a plus, not required).
- Understanding of construction workflows, project phases, and terminology.
- Prior experience supporting BIM, VDC, or digital construction initiatives.
