Job Description Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Engineer / Solutions Architect to take internally developed Power Platform prototypes (built using Vibe / Power Apps) and refactor, stabilize, and product ionize them for internal enterprise use.

This role is not focused on greenfield demos or simple canvas apps. The successful candidate will bring deep Dataverse architecture experience, strong engineering discipline, and an ability to turn partially formed ideas into secure, scalable, well‑governed business applications used across Finance and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Power Platform Architecture & Development

  • Take existing Power Apps / Dataverse prototypes and refactor them into production‑ready applications
  • Design and optimize Dataverse data models, including tables, relationships, business rules, calculated fields, and choice tables
  • Build and enhance Canvas Apps and Model‑Driven Apps with a focus on performance, maintainability, and user experience
  • Establish Power Platform development standards and patterns across apps and automations

Power Automate & Workflow Engineering

  • Design and maintain robust Power Automate flows with proper error handling, logging, retries, and notifications
  • Refactor brittle or over‑automated flows into more maintainable solutions (including Dataverse logic where appropriate)
  • Implement complex approval workflows aligned to Finance and Operations requirements

Security, Governance & ALM

  • Design and implement Dataverse security models (security roles, teams, row‑level and field‑level security)
  • Create and manage Dev / Test / Prod environments
  • Use Solutions (managed and unmanaged) to support clean deployment and version control
  • Partner with IT to align with Power Platform governance, DLP, and licensing considerations

Enterprise Integration & Support

  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with ERP and line‑of‑business systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, SharePoint, APIs)
  • Support internal users during rollout and post‑deployment stabilization
  • Produce clear technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant professional experience in Microsoft ecosystem development
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven)
    • Microsoft Dataverse (schema design, security, performance)
    • Power Automate (complex workflows, approvals, integrations)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Delegation limits and performance design
    • Security roles and least‑privilege access models
    • Managed vs unmanaged solutions and ALM best practices
  • Demonstrated experience refactoring or rebuilding existing Power Platform applications
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders

/ Nice‑to‑Have Experience

  • Experience supporting Finance or Operations workflows
  • ERP or system integration experience (Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Net Suite, etc.)
  • Power BI modeling and embedding
  • Azure integrations (Functions, Logic Apps, Custom Connectors)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing implications and governance models
  • Experience working in regulated or audit‑sensitive environments
  • Experience working with CoPilot Studio

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Review and assess existing Power Platform prototypes
  • Identify architectural, security, and performance gaps
  • Deliver at least one fully production‑ready internal application
  • Establish repeatable standards for future Power Platform development
  • Reduce app brittleness, break/fix incidents, and manual workarounds
