As a Security Officer Visitor Authorization in Pontiac, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control procedures, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting security‑related concerns and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may require follow‑up.
• Support lobby and reception area operations by answering questions, directing foot traffic, and maintaining awareness of security‑related procedures for deliveries, packages, and visitor access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
