Position Summary
The Machine / Equipment Operator II is responsible for safely and efficiently producing high-quality Trus Steel® chords of various sizes and configurations. This role operates roll form line equipment to manufacture metal components that meet required specifications for size, shape, and quality while supporting productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare the production line and related equipment prior to startup to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Start machines daily and perform routine lubrication and checks.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance following all lockout/tagout procedures. Accurately complete and maintain production run sheets.
- Handle, bundle, and package finished product per quality standards.
- Ensure correct bundle counts and stack for forklift transport.
- Assemble components required for daily production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Demonstrate high mechanical aptitude when operating and troubleshooting equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Preferred but not required.
Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 65 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
