Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you a skilled Heating Engineer who cares about doing the job properly?

Do you want your work to genuinely improve people's lives at home, not just tick boxes?

There's something special about knowing your work keeps families safe, warm and comfortable. Moxie People are working with a values‑driven housing provider to find a Heating Engineer who takes pride in high standards, looks after tenants, and wants long‑term stability in a supportive team.

About the role

You'll join a friendly in‑house repairs team, carrying out high‑quality heating installations, servicing and maintenance across a mix of rented homes and external contracts.

You'll be stepping into a role where:

  • You service, repair and install boilers and heating systems to a consistently high standard
  • You take on associated plumbing tasks across different work streams
  • You diagnose faults, complete follow‑on repairs and keep clear, accurate records of your work
  • You look after your van, tools and equipment, travelling between properties across the patch
  • You'll take part in a fair out‑of‑hours rota to support emergency heating issues
What's on offer

You'll be joining an employer that genuinely looks after its trades team, with:

  • £34,176 - £35,975 salary (Band 5.3)
  • 37 hours per week with flexible working
  • Generous annual leave, plus bank holidays and volunteering days
  • Health Cash Plan to claim back everyday medical costs
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Ongoing training and development to keep your skills current
About you

You'll thrive here if you're reliable, down‑to‑earth and tenant‑focused. You'll bring:

  • A recognised heating qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) with core gas tickets (CCN1 and related modules)
  • Around three or more years' experience working on domestic heating systems
  • Confidence with diagnostics and fault‑finding, not just swapping parts
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to communicate clearly with tenants and colleagues
  • Experience with renewables, oil or solid fuel systems is a bonus, but not essential
How to apply

If you're a Heating Engineer who wants steady work, a supportive team, and the chance to genuinely help people feel safe at home, apply now, or drop Hayley or Bridgette at
Moxie People a message for a friendly, no‑pressure chat about the role.
