Plumber

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced plumber to work on a new-build apartment block, carrying out all 1st and 2nd fix plumbing installations in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations. The role involves working as part of a site team to deliver high-quality residential plumbing installations within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1st Fix Plumbing Duties

* Install hot and cold water pipework (copper, plastic, or multilayer systems)

* Install soil, waste, and vent pipework

* Set out pipe routes in accordance with drawings and specifications

* Pressure test water systems and rectify any faults

* Install brackets, clips, sleeves, and fire stopping where required

* Coordinate with other trades to ensure services are correctly positioned

* Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and site health & safety rules

2nd Fix Plumbing Duties

* Install sanitaryware including:

* Toilets

* Basins

* Baths and shower trays

* Fit taps, mixers, wastes, traps, and isolation valves

* Connect appliances where required (e.g. washing machines, dishwashers)

* Install towel radiators and connect heating pipework if required

* Carry out final testing, commissioning, and snagging

* Identify and rectify leaks or defects

* Ensure a high-quality finish suitable for handover

Health & Safety

* Work in accordance with site RAMS and H&S policies

* Use PPE at all times

* Maintain a clean and safe working area

* Report hazards, defects, or incidents to site management

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience in new-build residential plumbing

* Strong knowledge of 1st and 2nd fix plumbing systems

* Ability to read and work from technical drawings

* Good understanding of UK Building Regulations

* Strong attention to detail and workmanship

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications (Desirable)

* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating

* CSCS card

* Water Regulations qualification
