As a Vehicle Mechanic, you'll play a key role in supporting the maintenance, repair and operation of a diverse fleet of military vehicles. No two days are the same. From carrying out hands‑on maintenance activities to supporting vehicle testing and road operations, you'll help ensure critical defence assets remain safe, reliable and ready when needed.

• Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair activities in line with authorised procedures and technical publications.
• Perform vehicle preparation tasks including cleaning, washing, painting and refuelling activities.
• Drive, operate and conduct road tests on vehicles for which you are qualified.
• Identify and order service items and replacement parts to support maintenance activities.
• Support customers and maintain safe, clean working areas while following established safe systems of work.

The role is based onsite at Bovington, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.

• Demonstrable experience in vehicle maintenance, servicing or repair.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work safely, collaboratively and to high quality standards.

• Level 2 City & Guilds or Level 2 NVQ qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
