Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider – Poole

An exciting immediate opportunity to join an established building services company based in Poole. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer. The successful candidate will have an all‑around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working within a team on‑site, they will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00
• Up to £23 per hour (umbrella)
• Immediate start

• Painting & Decorating
• General fabric repairs
• Furniture moves porterage
• Fixing Furniture
• Hanging Pictures & Shelves
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site e.g. PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
• Escort sub‑contractors
• To undertake basic “Fabric duties” that include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment such as chairs, etc.

• Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
• Understanding of most building fabric duties
• Good communication skills
• Health & Safety experience
• Basic PC literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Self‑motivation with ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
