We are recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a well-established independent workshop in Poole following the retirement of a long-serving team member after 20 years.

We offer a full suite of services—including servicing, MOT prep, diagnostics, and major repairs—meaning you’ll enjoy a varied, interesting workload across cars and light commercial vehicles. Rather than getting hung up on fancy job titles, we genuinely value hands-on practical ability, quality craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic.

• Salary: Up to £38,000 per year (depending on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (45 hours) — Strictly NO Weekends & NO Bank Holidays!

• Carrying out general mechanical repairs, routine servicing, and thorough vehicle inspections.
• Performing major mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, suspension, cambelts, and timing chains.
• Conducting diagnostics and fault-finding using modern workshop equipment.
• Supporting a busy workflow to maintain our high standard of customer service.
• Requirements: Solid hands-on mechanical skill and practical experience are key (qualifications are preferred, but practical ability is highly valued).
