As a Rental Specialist, you will serve as a customer service representative for Power Rental. This position will handle both walk‑in and phone customer requests for their power rental needs. You will assist customers with setting up rental accounts, negotiating rental rates, developing the rental contracts, and scheduling transportation for the rented equipment.

• Answer customer inquiries on a walk‑in or call‑in basis
• Use effective communication skills to promote and sell products and services
• Negotiate rental rates and pricing to achieve desired market share and profitability
• Dispatch drivers
• Handle customer complaints professionally
• Adhere to all customer care standards
• Advocate safety at Yancey Bros. Co.
• Work within the Cat Dealer Network to locate and re‑rent fleet to meet customer needs
• Promote the corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs for the rental fleet assets
• Ensure that all customer damage is properly charged to the responsible customer

• Participate in the required safety program and work in a safe manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

We are seeking candidates with a strong desire to help people, organized and able to follow set processes. Candidates should possess a strong sense of urgency and a desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems
• Knowledge or ability to learn Rental software and Sales Link
• Acceptable driving record required
• Proven writing and verbal communication, planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to set and manage priorities
• Self‑starter and able to work without supervision
• Consistent attendance
• Proven customer service skills, sales experience and professional telephone manner
• Proficiency in English (speak, read, comprehend, write)
• Physical abilities: stand for long periods, walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including above‑shoulder), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning, twisting
• Able to work after hours and weekends as required to support customers during storms
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds

• Course work from an accredited trade school, college, or university
• Thorough knowledge of the use and operation of generators, air compressors, and air conditioners
• Prior experience in the rental equipment industry
