Painter; Wet - Skid Steer Direct Paint

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for performing standard wet paint and paint touch up on SSL machines.

• Perform labor operations such as loading/unloading of the paint line using manipulators or forklifts
• Operate hand tools to demask product
• Properly prep, mask, and wet paint machines and parts.
• Apply Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques to improve inspection methods
• Apply Problem Solving Tools and Techniques to assist Manufacturing in the elimination of defects
• Other duties as assigned

Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor.

• Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre‑employment tests as applicable.
• High school diploma
• One year of painting experience
• Experience with a forklift

• Three years of painting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
• Detail oriented and self‑motivated
• Ability to multi‑task while maintaining a sense of urgency
• Flexibility with work activities; available for overtime
• Ability to operate pneumatic or various hand tools and forklift or other equipment as needed
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to 12‑hour shifts
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs frequently and/or move up to 35 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions
• Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist
• Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed
• Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
• Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and a dusty environment
