Position: Quality Control Technician (ID #530671)

Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for creating, maintaining, and enforcing quality documents, procedures, and standards throughout all phases of production. This role inspects product at multiple stages to ensure consistency across product categories, documents issues and corrective actions, and partners with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure products meet established quality expectations.

Create and maintain all quality documents, procedures, and process checklists.

Ensure quality procedures are followed during each phase of production.

Inspect BFG product at various stages of production to ensure consistency across all product categories.

Conduct visual, durability, and measurement assessments to verify standards are being met.

Reject unacceptable product, complete repair tags, and send items to the Production team for repair or back to the appropriate subcontractor.

Educate internal production teams and subcontractors on quality concerns, issues, and expectations.

Maintain documentation for quality issues and record corrective actions taken.

Coordinate quality inspections and support ongoing process improvement efforts.

Manage distribution of Quality Tech Packs and approve quality counter samples for internal/external reference.

Review and approve counter samples and standards used for in-house and subcontractor production reference.

Work closely with Product Development to verify current product standards and quality callouts on new products.

Report problems immediately to the supervisor, related departments, and senior management as needed.

Evaluate RMA items, determine product disposition, and inspect/document repair actions performed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite orders as needed.

Stay current by participating in training/educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Support company standards for safety, efficiency, and on-time production.

Support 6S by keeping the assigned work area clean and organized.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Prior quality control/inspection experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.

Comfortable performing measurements and documenting findings accurately.

Strong communication skills to work with production teams and subcontractors.

Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
