Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Position Summary
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam’s Club products and services, guides members regarding self‑service technology, processes member purchases, and assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
ResponsibilitiesFollows proper procedures for handling merchandise and reports unsafe situations to facility management. Maintains entrance and exit areas, verifies membership cards, and assists members with purchasing decisions. Locates merchandise, promotes company products, zones and organizes merchandise, helps members transport items, and maintains a safe shopping environment. Reviews member receipts, secures Sam’s Club assets and property, maintains required documentation, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.
Trains Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers rollout training for new programs, and provides continuous learning and improvement opportunities. Maintains area in accordance with company policies by handling returns, identifying shrink and damages, and adapting to change and feedback.
Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register); experience working with mobile retail applications.

Salary & CompensationThe hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
