Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Tours to teach communication and collaboration with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
Models exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and managing customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition and acknowledgement.
- Support compliance with company policies, Open Door policy, ethics, and integrity, and build high‑performing teams that embrace differences and promote belonging.
- Implement action plans to mitigate shrink, optimize inventory flow, and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Communicate impacts, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence across teams.
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific criminal background check (CBC) and firearms authorized training.
- For ammunition facilities: current state‑issued certificate of eligibility may be required.
- Required to attend and complete all job‑required training and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certificate of completion in People and Business Leadership.
- Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
