As a Part-Time Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as logistics and distribution. In this role you will keep access points secure, verify credentials, conduct screenings, remain visible, provide outstanding customer service, and help address security-related concerns with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, team-oriented culture.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $16.87 / Hour
Job Schedule: Monday and Sunday, 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, access control duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen people, packages, and or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client‑directed protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, entry points, loading and receiving zones, and the perimeter as assigned.
- Document screening results, incidents, and policy‑related concerns with clear and accurate written reports to help support security‑related operations.
- At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Guard card or license (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- Access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to background investigation, background check, and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
