As a Security Officer Screener in Pooler, GA

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 P
Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 P
Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report details through appropriate communication channels.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screenings, deliveries, refusals, and/or other security‑related activity in required logs and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify concerns related to access control, screening operations, and/or site policy compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security‑related experience is required.
  • X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
