Comfort working in current weather conditions - it's cold right now, and guards will need to step outside the guard shack to complete guard logs and perform inspections. The same applies during summertime when temperatures are high; guards must be able to work safely and consistently in both extremes.
Strong computer skills - they must accurately enter equipment information into the security website.
Alertness during slower periods - guards cannot sleep or disengage when there are gaps between driver arrivals.
Proper documentation - guards must complete all entries and follow procedure, not simply allow drivers into the yard without verification.
Certification is not required, but they must understand the purpose of security. This includes protecting the property, checking IDs to verify identity, and not being afraid to challenge unauthorized persons when necessary.
Join our team as a Security Guard and contribute to maintaining a secure environment for our organization.
