The Security Officer role at Dunbar is a full-time, on-site position based in Pooler, GA. In this role, the Security Officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, including interior and exterior premises, to deter unauthorized access, theft, and safety incidents. Responsibilities include observing and reporting suspicious activity, responding to alarms and emergencies, enforcing site security procedures, and documenting incidents in clear, accurate reports.

The Security Officer supports access control by verifying identification, managing visitor entry, and ensuring compliance with client-specific security protocols. This role may also involve coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when needed and maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence while interacting with clients, visitors, and employees.

• Ability to perform routine patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, and incident response in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Strong observational, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills to identify risks and respond effectively to security or safety concerns.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing incident reports, communicating with clients, and coordinating with team members and emergency responders.
• Capacity to follow established security procedures, comply with regulations, and use security technology such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and professionalism, including maintaining confidentiality and representing the Dunbar brand in a customer-focused manner.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically active duties for extended periods; willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is beneficial but not required, depending on the specific site assignment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license and ability to meet any background checks, licensing, or certification requirements applicable in Georgia.
