Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
Inspect, repair, refinish, and restore damaged wheels and rims to like-new condition.
Perform sanding, grinding, polishing, painting, and coating applications on alloy, steel, and specialty rims.
Assess wheel damage to determine proper repair and refinishing methods.
Operate refinishing tools, spray equipment, and other shop machinery safely and effectively.
Prepare wheel surfaces by cleaning, stripping, masking, and priming before refinishing.
Ensure color matching and finish quality meet company and customer standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
Assist with inventory management of refinishing materials, tools, and supplies.
Load, unload, and transport wheels as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and stay current on refinishing techniques and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education & Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Possible overtime may be required.
Valid driver's license required.
Previous experience in wheel repair, automotive painting, bodywork, or refinishing preferred (not required).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to lift/move wheels and materials weighing between 30–100 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, standing for long periods, and working with hand tools and equipment.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overtime may be required.
